Natural Hair Shrinkage | Type 4b/4c

My Natural Hair Texture and Hair Type (4b/4c) | Naked hair

My Natural Hair texture and hair type (4a, 4b, 4c). This my naked, product free natural hair and I generally just identify as type 4.  I thought it would be better to show you all my natural hair texture than just tell yall my hair type. My hair is freshly washed with no product in this video. The first clip is my hair wet, fresh after washing. The second clip was after my hair dried a little bit longer, but my hair was still damp. Thanks for watching!

Natural Hair Wash Routine | Detangling and Moisturizing (LOC Method)

This video shows how I detangle and moisturize my natural hair on wash day.  I like to work in sections because my hair is pretty dense. I used  a wide tooth comb starting from the ends of my hair to the roots. I used a version of the LOC method to moisturize my hair. Water was my liquid, jojoba oil was my oil and Darcy Botanicals Cocoa Bean Curl Smoothing Cream was my cream. I let my hair air dry for three hours and then I applied shea butter and styled my hair

Washing Type 4 Natural Hair in Sections (Twists)

Washing natural hair| How I wash my hair in sections and deep condition my hair in sections. I focus the shampoo on my scalp only, I massage or scrub my scalp with the pads of my fingers and I do not scratch my scalp with my finger nails. First I separate my hair into sections before I shampoo my hair outside of the shower in 6 twists.  (4a,4b,4c)

How to Flat Iron Natural Hair | Comb Chase Method

This video is how I flat ironed my natural hair. I straightened my hair after using curlformers instead of blow drying. I only passed through my hair twice with the flat iron, once using the comb chase method and the other without it. I  rotated between using the 340 and 375 heat setting on the flat iron. I haven't flat ironed my hair in over a year myself, so I'm am still learning the process for the best results.

Natural Hair Banding Method and African Threading

In this video I'm going do both the banding method on natural hair and threading natural hair. Banding and African threading are both known to stretch natural significantly. I banded the right side of my hair and threaded the left side of my hair.  I started with freshly washed and deep conditioned hair and I already applied my leave-in conditioner and shea butter. I separated my hair into about 8 twist on each side of my hair. I used about 7 bands per twist. It took me about 45 min to an hour to complete each side and this was my first time doing each method for my entire head. I'm going to start updating my instagram at: http://instagram.com/tiajonay
